Galleria Becker exhibited my sculptures
on girls and women.
Young girls with slim legs stood
in their high heeled shoes,
their faces painted white.
On the walls you could see older women,
some quite luscious, barefooted, with a bird nest on top of the head, tangled in a net,
passing roses, dancing as angels.
You can consider the works having been
made in a value perspective adopted
to our time.
It is an ancient manner that has not been widely used since the Middle Ages.
Persons who were seen as more
distinguished were represented in a large
scale and in an imposing setup while
people with lesser value were represented
in a modest way and in a smaller scale.
In these artworks I have used mainly a composite material of mineral substances and cellulose fiber and some parts made of acryl plate, paper, wood, yarn etc.
Saving the nature and recycling materials give the sculptures more character
and depth of meaning.
These artworks have been made in
2011-2013
