The most extensive of the artist's museum exhibitions to date, both in terms of time and number of works, was at the Kemi Art Museum from 11 June to 15 August 2026. 78 works from over 40 years create a comprehensive view of the artist's career.
The oldest work is from 1982, and works from recent years show that the creative spirit is still strong.
The interesting exhibition space of the Kemi Art Museum provided a fine setting for the retrospective. Almost 80 works from five decades showed that the artist had maintained her basic tone throughout her long and consistent career.
The themes and treatment of the works have changed over time and are still fundamentally the same: concern for the environment and people, especially girls and women. The surreal content on top of the naivistic expression still offers the viewer something to think over and discover.
A beautiful art book was published in conjunction with the exhibition.
